Please keep in my mind that military dicatorial regimes such as those of Egypt, Jordan and Pakistan are supported by America while democratically elected governments such as Hamas are sanctioned.

The short answer is no.

Proof of that is supplied by history: read up on the Wilsonian doctrine (as expounded by Woodrow Wilson) in around 1905. Read Noam Chomsky -- he's the foremost authority on American duplicity, giving precise details about its extent.

The real reason, as always, for US intervention is to expand US economic and political power. Now, to a degree, you can't fault that, because other countries try to do the same.

The mistake the USA makes is to dress it all up under the guise of wanting to help other countries prosper under western democracy. Read "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" for some insight into that pervasive deception.

Will do, as long as you keep in mind that hamas (democratically elected) is a known terrorist organization! But then, many would argue that Bush's "regime" is as well.

No, they are not genuine. They have never been. The middle east is mostly desert, and has no real benefit to us other than (obviously) oil. Our goal is:
1) to keep as much peace as possible to keep investors happy and prices down.
2) to ensure a steady supply of oil--in other words, protecting american assets.
3) keeping a majority of the worlds oil out of the control of one government-- in other words, keeping control of the oil split up between many nations. Divide and conquer!!

It has been, and always will be, our policy (in actuality). Until oil runs out or there is no longer a demand.

Democratically elected terrorists are still terrorists. It is perfectly acceptable to treat them as such. This is not a swipe at democracy per se, but the people that support terrorism.

American support is tied far more to cooperation of a given country to US anti-terrorism goals than it is to "purity" of its democracy. While I believe that the US would prefer to see west-friendly forms of democracy in place, it is clear that this goal comes second to finding and destroying terrorist elements.

Hamas, like all Muslim radical groups is a collection of psycho-sexual basket cases, united by their hatred of anything or anyone that threatens to expose their desperate feelings of impotence....

Having said that, of course the US is genuine about "spreading democracy and freedom". At the present level of evolution, no social system is easier for overclass sociopaths to manipulate than those charactorised by "democracy and freedom". Of course Darth Cheney & Von Rumsfeld wants democracy in Iraq; otherwise they'd have to negotiate for the oil with some local version of themselves.....

No I don't think so. They want to control the oil and alot of republicans are in the oil business which means huge profits for them while a crisis is ongoing also the militry industrial complex if making out nicely. Also if you have ever dealt with a arab or persian you will find out these are wild people they don't want democracy they want a leader with a sharp sword who will kill the people who get out of line. I have dealt with them many times and they are very difficult people.

It is my belief that the true intention of the Iraqi war is to destabilize the economy in order to boost oil mogul's profits. That is my opinion though. There are no hard facts to support it, but if you look at the numbers, they do show a correlation.

The fact is that what US is doing right now is what a racist parent does. Israel has WOMD, Bombs, fighter jets and all the tools to defend itself and yet it is people of Lebanon and Palestine who are being accused of being terrorists. Does it make any sense to you if you live in a neighborhood that everybody is carrying GUN and you are the only one that his house is being searched. USA and Britain are playing this nonsense role for over 60 years.

Of course not. Money talks, but it prefers to ride in a car fueled by oil. We will use up all of their oil, that way everyone has to come to us in the end.
