iPod is better, but CD player is way cheaper. Plus it's cool not to go with the crowd. If you like listening to full CDs at a time (which is the right way to listen, as far as I'm concerned), then might as well go with the less expensive option.

CD player--- better audio quality
IPOD ---- better battery life (most of the time), you can transfer CD's to it, and it has a bunch of other cool stuff
however stick to buying CD's don't fall for apple's stupid marketing scheme.... once you buy something from iTunes you can't ever do anything with it again except for use it on your computer and on your iPod

to get one?
well...if you want an ipod...decide which one you want. do you want a video ipod? a nano? which one? then you go to the nearest electronics stor. like FYE or even target, and see if they have the kind you want. if they dont, you have to go to a different store. theyre about 100- 300 dollars.
cd players. you can just go to walmart and buy one for like 10-40 dollars. : )
i'd get an ipod if i were you....

spend the x-tra cash and get an iPod nano. u can put 7500 songs , video, pix just about anything. i have 1, they're worth it.

Get an MP3 player. It gives you more choice over what you can listen to.
