I would have no problem witha female candidate if she was qualified. Hillary Clinton however is not. If Hilary runs and loses, I do not think it would be becuase she is a woman, but becuase she wouldnt be a good president. She doesnt really represent anyone in the Democratic party either. Any other female candidate that would be a good president i would vote for. I say the best way to judge is not by gender but by ability, going both ways.

reshem has mentioned that situation in India is worse. That's absolutely not the case. The most important office non technically in India is that of the Prime Minister. Remember that Indira Gandhi was our prime minister a popular one. Can you imagine if there could have been a possibility of a women being the President how much ever capable she was?
As far as a women president question about America is concerned I personally would support her because she looks capable and also her educational background indepth study about world politics is quite impressive

I would definitely vote for a woman president. I would vote for Hillary if she were the democratic nominee, depending on who she was up against...I don't know of any republican that could sway my vote right now, but who knows...maybe they'll come up with someone who doesn't cater to the religious right or big business....

I don't think that a woman could be strong enough to handle an entire country on her own. I am very much for the equal rights of women, but I think that the World would look down on us for putting a woman in power which could result in attacks for our immunity. If anything were to happen, I believe that the woman would "freak out" and get all emotional rather than taking a stand into action.
