Wouldn't the son of God know a little something about the world his father created?

he knew - he just didn't want to ruin the surprise. If he had told everybody - he would be just like the jerk at work/school who tells you the ending to all the movies. That wouldn' t have been very Christian.

the bible does not mention the shape of the earth. the bible does not say that the earth is the center of the universe. nor does the bible imply these things. these were not issues that were important to the message that Jesus preached. the exclusion of these bits of information does not mean that Jesus did not know these bits of trivia, but rather it means that it was not worth mentioning. in the grand scheme of things which is more important: "I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the father except through me", or "oh, by the way, the earth is a canted Spheroid orbiting a giant ball of fusing hydrogen."
the primary message of Jesus' life is far more important.

Regardless of what the fairytale says, if he existed as the man he is known to be, he was only human and thats what humans back then believed. Tell me, back then they weren't independent thinkers, they always believed there was a higher power because there was no science; so if a guy was to say that he was a son of god, and did some slight of hand tricks, then you got yourself a scam artist! He was the David Copperfield of yesterday.

I think that it's the Church's teachings, and actions, that you're actually talking about, specifically the Catholic Church at the time of Galileo. Yes?

Whether you believe that Jesus was divine, divinely inspired, or a human with some good things to say, the churches and people who interpret his words and tell us how to live our lives are very human and can be very wrong.

He knew that the world isn't flat and that is why he walked on the water cause if anything he would fall and come out the other side.

If he did know it, he didn't tell anybody. It was hundreds of years before people discovered these things. I guess Jesus was just too busy worrying about our morals.

Ridiculous... Of course He knew that the world isn't flat, etc... Where did you even come up with such an idea?! Thanks for the laugh, I've never heard this concept before!
