The versatile, underrated British singer Susan Maughan is still active in England doing tours on the oldies circuit in addition to doing Cabaret shows as well. Roughly a year ago, she released a new CD that I think Andrew Oldham was involved in and it was being passed out at the place where she was performing. Japan has reissued two of her Philips Lp's on CD. "Sentimental Susan" and "Swingin' Susan" all excellent material as I own the Lp's and hearing it on CD was superb. Universal Music Group now owns the rights to her Philips material and it's anyone's guess when this will see the light of day!! But, where there's life, there's hope! The Spectrum release on her just barely touches the tip of the iceburg, but in my opinion, this singer is incredibly talented and one hell of a singer.
