No, some things are impossible.
A steam engine won't get an airplane airborne.
The ultimate idealist concept (that we are all little idea-fizzing lights spinning around in the mind of God) is impossible to reconcile with the scientific method or with Lockean empiricism.
A wise person cannot devise a manner to insure that the offspring for multiple generations will be wise.
There are no blue roses.
The earth is not six or seven thousand years old.
The development of disease resistance in bacteria is a certain proof that evolution exists.

I believe you are right - nothing is impossible.
If you can name it , define it, imagine it, then it is possible.
lets see,
I say, all the people live on the net at this moment are required to attend an emergency meeting on the moon within in an hour of this message.
As you can see we can imagine it and probably one day such meetings would be necessary and every day core. But for the time being it is only imagination.
Anyway it is possible, right?
Or say Kofi Anan gets on the cnn channel and for the next 4 hours (accompanied by bush, blair, chirac, putin, china, germany, italy) gives a long speech repeating that the Israeli and the hezb people cease fire and send their teams of 10 delegates (with only one leader) each to the UNO meeting withn 24 hours of his last words. We know it is imrobable. But it is not impossible. Is it?

It all depends on perspective and perception of the feat. What one person finds "improbable," another may find easy. We went to the moon. Presidents have been assasinated. Nothing is impossible.

Nothing is impossible because if we can think of it, it exists. It is improbable to bring it to life sometimes, but it still exists.

I think this statement is true. I think Agent K said it best in "MIB".
"Fifteen hundred years ago everybody KNEW the Earth was the center of the Universe. Five Hundred years ago everybody KNEW that the Earth was Flat. Fifteen minutes ago you KNEW that people were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll KNOW tomorrow."
I think it takes determination, optimism and some creativity. More people with these qualities and we just might get there faster.

There are things that are impossible. You can't fit a square peg in a round hole. Of course if you shave off the corners, then it would be possible.

It is very true. You can't posatively prove that something won't happen at any given place over the whole length of time. Does probability decrease for certain things? Yes but it doesn't mean it won't ever happen.

It is impossible to destroy matter. You can only alter its form. Everything else is possible.
