lol in some ways i would say you are right in others i would say you are wrong. i know in south africa the brits treat you guys like dogs. 50% of south african women are raped at least one in their lifetimes and aids is a killer over there with no treatment. i guess the reasons blacks here are upset is because they are treated like garbage in most of "white america" but i think lots of them bring it upon themselves. i think that all this emphasis on color is rediulous and people should be judged for who they are as humans and not their skin color. my husband is from north africa (tunisia) and he is treated like garbage with the american government. grant it he is arab but these are the things that make minorites in this country complain. how ever i will say for any one living here in america who wants to talk about a ghetto life they don't know anything until they go to afica, asia or some parts of south america. people eating other people in new guiena. woah thanx for your input

I've never been to Africa, either way. But I do know about the real Africa. There are a lot of serious problems that are under reported. I don't complain about America, I love it here and am very thankful I was born here. I would never want to leave.
You shouldn't generalize about every black american. We are not all that way.

I know what you mean. I mean ,sure, some aren't very fortunate here and that has to be taken into account, but they have more oppurtunity. If it is accessed right and at the right time they have all the oppurtunity in the world to make themselves better. I hate it when blacks here say "My neighborhood didn't give me any oppurtunity and allow me to grow." Screwball! Its not the only neighborhood in your town ya know. Its just an excuse. If some can rise out the ghetto and become high profile while others are just there, it all depends on the individual. Regardless, none of us will know what it is like in the hard life of Africa. Couldn't even begin to imagine. So people do have to realize that no matter how much down on their luck they are there is always someone worse off. Don't take things for granted and be blessed 'cuz things could be worse...far worse!

Oh, I see, If I am black living in America, I should be happy that I am not in Africa, I should be delighted to be kicked around in America because it's better than being in Africa.
This is America, not Africa, American do not shut their mouths.
You should go back where you fit better and shut your mouth.
You Zulu my ***!

You think we need to learn more about your culture, but what do you know about our culture? I'm tired of black people in other countries assuming that they know what it's like to be a black american. I've never been to Africa...I don't have the money to go to Africa...most Black Americans don't. But I have read a lot and learned about a lot of other cultures, especially of the African diaspora, not just those of Africa.
