I'm playin' Resident Evil 4 on a PS2 and after this certain cut scene the screen just goes black and nothing else happens. I know it's a chapter end in the game but it just doesn't do anything after. What's up?

could be a few things. Could be a dirty lens, dirty disc, corrupt disc (it happens more than you think), or, if all things go horribly wrong, your version of the PS2 might be messed up. If you got the PS2 when it first came out, you might not be able to play some high graphics game, high processing-power game, and quite a few movie types. If this is the case, then your screwed, no other way to put it. What you can do is go into your system settings and see what software version you have, if it's not 1.21 or higher, then I would go buy a new PS2 or bite it for a while and save up for a PS3 (November '06).
But defanitly clean, buff, and such first.

Your PS2 might be messed up or its just the disc.Try cleaning the disc with Windex.

check the back of the CD, if worse comes to worse and the CD is fine, then find a tutorial (preferable by sony) on cleaning the lense.

Try cleaning off the CD. That happens sometimes.
(BTW...RE4...best RE game hands down!....cept for Ashley...she can burn hehehe)
