Just press your Laptop's Wireless Toggle Key( most probably Fn + F8)
then wireless connection window will open.
Just click the View Available Wireless network at left pane.
it will show the list of Wireless network in the range.

then just doubleick your desired network.

it may ask for the security WEP key if it is enabled in the wi-fi router

then it will connected to the router......

First off, your router should be hooked up to your high speed modem and both need to be plugged in and turned on. If your router came with an installation CD, put that in the laptop and install the drivers/configuration-software. Then you should just be able to view your wireless connection in the "network connections."

You can also use Ethernet cable to hook the laptop into the router directly if that's what you want.
