ithere's two ways you can do this (forget about Gutenberg,that ain't gonna take you anywhere)
1.Install BitTorrent,then go to mininova.org or any other torrent tracker to the "Books" section and download the torrents (a torrent file is the "address" of the file.
2.Install mIRC (screw the boss),,go to an Undernet server on the channel #bookz.You will find almost any book of your choice there.The commands are @find or @seek

Project Gutenberg ( http://www.gutenberg.org ). You can download entire books which copyrights have expired. So, of course, you´ll find mostly classics, but they´re TONS of books in there in every language imaginable (I mean, Esperanto? C'mon)

to pass time at work u chat wit friends online not read books...ppl do thing to pass time and avoid reading...reading is work and if ur working then ur not passing time

You can read first chapters at barnes and nobles site. Other than that you might have to pay to read online

if you go to google and type in a book you wood like to read then type free with it, it will come up with somthing
