Someone once told me to listen to my intuition because that was my future talking to me.

beautiful question!!
someone just told me that we should find a "purpose in life" and try and work our way towards it. analyse each action or word before you actually do or say it and see if it takes you any closer to your "final purpose"...if it does, go ahead and do it....but if you are certain that it does not take you closer to your purpose, leave it aside and move on.....i guess, its one of the best things i have ever heard. awe inspiring stuff!

Do not ever, ever engage in a conversation when you are angry is the best advice I have received. I live by it, too. And those few times when I have opened my mouth in anger I have always regretted it.

We should all listen to our intuition, but at the same time, we need to make sure that we have some level of emotional maturity first. People who listen to their intuition when they are too emotionally immature to have any wisdom are the ones that end up sleeping in their car while they are seeking fame and fortune that never comes, and they are the ones that get married to some loser who can't keep a job, etc.

My grandmother said me when I was eleven that I woulld never be more clever than I was at this moment. She said that yes, I will learn more things, but that will be only more knowledge, nothing about intelligence. That gave a start for me to accept all things said by close adults critically and actively participate in discussions, with more confidence. A first impression listening these news was disbelief and belief with dissapointing, but a big joy already some days later - feeling of full participant with constant feedback from others.

And my grandmother said me when I was about seven years old that I should pass things through my heart before saying or performing them. Because from the point of reasoning I have a power to prove anything for others, in one way or in an opposite way, depending on my will. That was not a pleasant thing to hear at this moment, but I think it was very essential in developing humanistic values inside.

Besides it was also important for me to hear from my grandmother about things in societies. E.g. she was a strong believer in God and visited church every day, but was most critic about behaviour of Catholic priests towards pregnant unmarried women. She was proud that she helped these women with advice when they did not find support in church. My grandmother, though of Jewish origin, was most critic about Israeli policy towards Palestina already many years ago.

I also think it was a very good advice when I was about three-four years old: to touch a small frog without fear and love it from tadpole to a big frog, given by my mother.

Always start "small" and then work up from there...
This has helped me not only in biz but everything,
I'm known for attempting to do too much at once LOL,
So I try to keep this in mind and help keep my impulses in check... to remind my self starting off small is best, & when I listen it WORKS!
:)

To banish any phrase from my internal dialog which includes one of the following ideas: should have, could have, might have or would have.

Any time I find myself thinking along those lines, I just repeat to myself, "Shoulda, coulda, mighta, woulda", let it go and move on to better thoughts.

I was told to behave like the person I wanted to become, and eventually that would be who everybody thought I was.

It's worked so far!
