Actually, everyone is right. Of all these ideas, pick out a couple that make YOU feel good. Don't get discouraged if anyone refuses though. Just go to the next house. Try the house of an elderly neighbor who may not have anyone to help. Sometimes they are on fixed incomes, but just think of how good it would make you feel to make just a little less money and have a nice reference. Sound okay?
And this is for the Junk Man out there. How come you're always so upset? I sense lots of turmoil in your life. Is this true?

Mow Lawns. $10-25 bucks a lawn, depending on who has the equipment, the size of the lawn, and gas prices. You don't technically have to own the lawnmower, most people have their own. Just ask some people around your neighborhood, preferably people you know who might need extra help.

You could offer to hand pull weeds from people's lawns for a fee. There are alot of people who would like to go organic but just don't have the time.

You could provide a service.
Make arrangements with neighbors.
See who will pay you to walk their dog, get their mail, take out their trash.
You can do chores and folks who dont want to do them will pay. A few dollars here and there will add up quick!
