Try to stay neutral. If you can see someone feels really strongly about something - and you don't - maybe it's best not to voice your opinions. After all, is it worth the hassle? As for ppl talking behind your back, once you learn to truly love yourself mate, you won't care!!

I've learned to just go to work put in your 100% and go home. Don't try to make friends. You can be friendly to your co-workers just don't bring your personal stuff to work with you. You never know who you can trust. If anyone starts gossiping just ignore it and don't take part in it. You know you are a hard worker and a go getter and it doesn't matter what anyone else has to say. Unless your boss comes to you and tells you there is a problem with your work then you don't have anything to worry about.

Ignore their behavior tactics is the best thing to do. Until they harm you physically or verbally. Like make a threat. Most cases is if you ignore the behavior of others they will change that behavior hopefully in a positive way.

What always works for me is just staying out of it. Sometimes that can be hard if you have a strong opinion about something that is being discussed, but I have seen people get seriously mad at one another over politics! It's soooo stupid!

I would say to simply ignore them. If you give in to their childishness, you could lose your job. Besides, most people who act up like that are trying to get a reaction out of you. If you give none, they will get bored and move on to something else. They certainly aren't worth losing your job over.

To ignore it. Stooping to their level would make you just as immature as they are. Also, watch what you say out loud, you never know who could overhear.
