No, but he plays one on TV. His is a satire news show, remember, and he has to try to differentiate himself from Jon Stewart, his senior and aegis, so he satirizes the news by taking a charicatured right-wing stance on it.
ledchp: Yeah, that video was wicked funny. I can't help thinking, though, if Jon Stewart himself had done the correspondent's dinner, there would have been a riot right then and there.

Steven Colbert is as liberal as one could possibly be! The anchor he plays on tv pretend to be conservative, in a joking manner. He is also NOT from Canada. As a recent interview in GQ magazine, shows he is from South Carolina.

No, yet i think of he's humorous. If invoice Maher or Jon Stewart have been even 10% as humorous as Colbert i could watch them too. in my opinion i presumed all and sundry replaced into in on the shaggy dog tale. Are you in basic terms noticing this?

He spoofs them-he makes you wonder at times but as a comic myself, all his humor pokes fun at Republicans or the rivalry between the 2 parties-besides being a good friend of Jon Stewart, I would say he's more liberal overall. but he does rock!

the sad thing is... many people can't tell that it's a satire... even though he tries SO HARD to make it painfully clear...

I wonder if Rush didn't start out to be a political satirist, but the conservatives worshiped him and he just said "eh, scr*w it"

"I'm not sure...isn't he Canadian?" acutally someone asked him if he was from a french-canadian line on his show and he said no, actually i'm french-frenchian. But he plays a Conservative on his show, and actually sounds a lot like me in real life. Thats why his show kicks ***
