I read about it and seen it on History Channel. How half the British fleet hunted Germany's Bismarck, the largest battleship ever. A tremendous naval battle in which the Bismarck destroyed two destroyers and crippled others before it was finally overwhelmed by the combined firepower of many ships and sank. Amazing. Surely great material for a movie. Why hasn't one been made? Will there be?

There was. It's called "Sink The Bismarck". I think late 50's early 60's. It's ok....but if you're looking for eye candy in the respect of special effects, forget it. Still, a pretty good movie. And you're right. It would make a great movie now. I think a better movie on "The Battle of The Bulge" would be also a great topic.

There was one made, "Sink the Bismarck!", it was made 46 years ago. P.S. I didn't have to search for the answer either!
I've seen it enough times, lol! By the way, if you're interested in a good movie about WWII from a different perspective, watch "Cross of Iron" starring James Coburn and Maximillian Schell.
