Tell me why I hate the GOP! They suck pretty majorly!!!

Because they have the most annoying followers. I'm not talking about William F. Buckley here (though he is a pompous ***) or someone who has an open mind and conservative opinions. I'm talking about the blissfully ignorant folks that just follow anybody waving a flag and selling some feelgood groupthink and giving them some handy villians to hate (liberals!). These people are simply amazing. They are in full support of their leaders stripping away their rights and dismantling the constitution because they're told it's for their own protection. They either don't think or don't understand that the constitution is sacred. No, they focus on flags and pledges while the constitution is going up in flames instead. So many of them are just along for the ride, hoping that all that tough talk, air of infallibility and money they see from 'important' Republicans will somehow rub off on them. You remember people from your school who would take on group characteristics just to "fit in," or be normal and accepted? That's how so many republican drones are it's just unbelievable but it isn't clothes or music--it's their votes and our country! They constantly support economic policies that are actually detrimental to themselves and benefit the wealthy. If you actually ask one of them about that they will trot out some figure about how the rich pay the most taxes or something--well, if 10% of the people own 90% of the country (not exact numbers, but bear with me) then it seems reasonable that those 10% would pay a whole hell of a lot of taxes but that just bounces right off of them! Amazing! It's as though they've been bought and sold and they think that's all just peachy good. Neighbor's kid gets sent home from Iraq in a bag or on a fake leg? That was a justified sacrifice on their part because Iraq was a genuine threat to us here on American soil, in the Homeland. GW said it's true so it must be. He's from a very rich family after all, and his daddy was president too. It must be comfortable to not have to think about your opinions and just tow the party line. Cows. As bad as the leaders are they could never get away with it if it wasn't for this contented cud-chewing army. Anyhow that's my rant, hope it made you mad. It makes me mad pretty regularly.

You hate the GOP because you don't think for yourself. You listen to CNN and don't care if you verify anything or not.
You hate the GOP because you know that the radical Muslims are just like you. They have plasma TVs and go to the mall on the weekend. All of those poor Israelis and Iraqis who are killed by bombs are just killed by spontaneous human combustion.
You hate the GOP because you'd rather pay 60% or 70% of your pay to the government so that you'd know that those who don't want to work can still live as good or better than you.

Because you use the phrase "suck pretty majorly" when discussing politics and are therefore probably "majorly uninformed" and can't understand all the big words politicians use. I know you must be frustrated.

Because although nobody can fool all of the people all of the time they have succeeded in fooling enough people for too long a time about too many important things.
The question you need to ask yourself is: will hating the GOP or anybody else ultimately do anybody any good?

Because the GOP openly disregards civil liberties and is funded by tremendously huge US corporations. But so does the Democratic party!
Get REAL pissed off and join the Anarchists! Come on, it'll be fun! You can totally piss off anybody by saying "yeah, that's horse ****" by telling them you are an Anarchist.

because they know nothing, yet call everyone stupid
they approve poor policy, then blame it on the other party that doesn't even have the votes to pass the policy if it wanted too
they start wars over "possible threats" while ignoring groups that killed 3,000 on U.S. soil
they preach that they "save money," while spending more than anyone ever has
they blindly believe without proof, yet call others sheep
in short, they preach personal responsibility, while taking none themselves...
they rarely take a stand that's not hypocritical... it would be hilarious, if it weren't so sad...
