I have a titanium engagement ring with a tension secured diamond. Let me tell you, that thing is guaranteed to stay put. My husband got me the titanium used in spaceships and the designer told him that we had to get an exact ring measurement because there is no way to resize it because of it's strength. The diamond is secured between the ring inside two thin grooves. In order to put the ring in place, they need super strong plier like gadgets to hold it open, then release it to pinch the diammond in. I have had my ring for over 3 years now and the diamond has never even budged. I would recommend it over any traditional setting because I hear those always move and budge because gold and other soft metals become pliable with wear... so it's more likely that a stone would come loose with those types of rings. Good Luck!!!
