A few options: Reading a book is a great way to chill out. Most cities have parks nearby that you can visit. There is a park in my hometown that has a little creek going through it. It's nice to walk in the park and just enjoy nature. Treating yourself to a movie with popcorn, a Coke and some chocolate is always nice. Praying, meditating and writing is another great way to release at the end of a day.

Fill the bath with a nice scented bubble bath, play your favorite music loud, light candles, and pamper yourself with a massage, a facial, and a pedicure. After the bath drench yourself in a creamy scented lotion and soft fragance, get into clean pajamas and hop on a clean crisp bed and go to sleep while remembering sweet memories from the past....It works wonders for me.

Go for a good walk. Try a combination of walking fast with a purpose and slow so to look around. If th weathers bad or if you're not into walking then try a good book. It will take your brain to another place and will relax. Just remember nothing tens.

If your job causes physical stress you should practice quiet techniques like yoga and deep breathing. If your day is intellectually stressful your activities should be more physical. Either way be sure to get enough exercise and you'll feel better over all.

You should really try to meditate, it helps you ignore your thoughts. Or sometimes if you lay in your bed and just stare at a wall across from your bed it can really help you unclutter your mind!! Just listen to some calm music. Don't breath heavily, just calmly!!

take a bath with candles and a glass of wine. Try some Fat Bastard wine. Yes its a real wine and i love the chardonnay. Try it. I'm no alcoholic but it works for me every time.
