she's too stubborn to get a paying job, too cheap to buy anything including clothing, lotion, soap, makeup, etc.. the only thing she buys with her money are fake hair and fake jewelry. when she borrows my clothes (without my permission btw) she just tosses them on the floor like they're trash. she never does laundry. she's so cheap that she wears my pants and we're not even the same height or size (i'm very tall, she's not). I know i'm ranting here but she really pisses me off!!! How can i keep her out of my stuff when we share the same room (closet included). i can't afford my own appartment yet.

Hve you tried talking it over with her and you parents? That's pretty moochy and irresponsible, not to mention, rude behavior on her part... If mature talking doesn't work, buy a foot locker with a strong lock... It's like a chest, but for clothes and what not... some even come with a drawer for your socks and underwear... If you are responsible enough to value your possesions and work to earn them, then take care of them and protect them from your sister... My younger sister is the same way and she never listens to our pleas... I've even caught her using my other sister's makeup, deodorant and everything... So, if you develop skin stuff... consider hiding your hygiene products and makeup as well... Good Luck and I hope you get financially stable enogh ion the near future to get the place you deserve...

Have you approached your sister yet about wearing your clothes? If not do so, and be firm! Since you share the same closet, it is difficult to keep your attire separate from hers. However, most major department stores carry garment bags, and you could purchase a few and put a lock on them. If this is not affordable, perhaps it's time to find a way to afford your apartment (i.e. second job, new roommate) without your sister and send her packing. One of the biggest lessons some learn in life is learning to stand on one's own two feet. She has undoubtedly not learned this skill, and this is the perfect time for her to learn.

She looks up to you and wants to be like you. Be direct and lay down the law. Tell her that you appeciate her as a sister and explain to her that she has to contribute. Try taking her out when you buy clothes, makeup etc. Let her pick out some of the items. When you go to check out, show her what it costs. Open your purse and say,"I only got so much, I need your help."

Good luck!!! I wore my bigger sisters clothes forever no matter how hard she tried to hide them. I stop when my style changed and her clothes werent appealing to me anymore. So change your stlye and maybe she wont wear your clothes.
