Owning one is cool. But be aware of the limitations. They aren't very practical or comfortable. They do make some smaller ones for shorter riders ( If you're like 5'8" or more you shouldn't have any worries...) While you're young, it's not as much of an issue, but I prefer my bike, since I don't HAVE to be in the fetal position all the time, but I can hug it if I want to be more aerodynamic.
And I really wouldn't recommend one as a first bike. Sliding along the ground will make you hot in the MOST unpleasant way, especially if you were hauling some fine butt before going over. If you really like the style, see if you can get like a 250 or something first, especially used. Then if you dump it, you won't be out as much coin. And for goodness sake, take a rider safety course. The ones around here are very well run, and aren't set up by a bunch of Chicken Littles, either !

girls who ride bikes in my opinon know how to take care of them self and extremely amazing girl. When u find a girl riding a bike on the street not only but its spcieal youll be noticed for ur style and hes a lucky man who has a girl like this. I have been riding sport bikes sinces i was 5 and when i reached 18 i have been always searchin for a girl like that and sinces i know alot of girls of this i think their hotttt

Having owned three myself and planning on getting into professional racing I'm going to have to say, HELL YEAH! ;)
P.S. I have had guys on the back before and I tell 'em to put their hands on the tank! Actually guy or girl I don't like anyone holding onto me when I ride...bikes... And to the guy that said we belong on the back, I told the last guy that said that to me I was going to put my skirt on him and make him ride b$tch.

I've been riding bikes since I was 17 years old, I'm 45 now, and very female. so yes, chicks on any bike isn't only hot , it's cool too.
