The republicans are in the office and gas has went up.
You forget that the pres and his buddy dick are both in the oil industry. Start a war in the oil fields and sit back and watch the gas prices rise so the stock you own goes up up up.

I recalled reading not too long ago that the spike in fuel prices has to do with the environment. Obviously the war in Iraq is not in our favor and we should remember to support our troops... not the war!! Back to making a point..... and I read this on MSNBC The EPA requierd that by this year oil/gas producers change from using MBTE to ethanol as a fuel additive, in traditional government wisdom, we have banned importing this product from Brazil (who has a surplus) since it is distilled from corn. Thus pissing off our hardworking farmers and risking possible crop contamination. If I remember correctly from the article which was posted in April/May of this year, there is in fact a surplus quantity of gasoline, but does not meet the EPA standard. I really wish I had the link to that site, so we could all read it. But, yeah, I pay $60 to fill my ford F-150 once every week and a half, it sucks, but rushing out and purchasing a new vehicle would create just as much debt as filling it, and for everyone who drives a hybrid, I change the oil regulary, tune it up to meet emission standards and car pool when appropriate. I agree with the other point to this question and that is, yes it would be great if they coud all level off and not go up and down like a yo-yo every week on their pricing!!!

Get used to it. Our dear dear president has to payback all the favors he got from his oil buddies who got him elected.
