You should try to apply for what is called a parent plus loan. This is where you put all your parents information on the application , and once they review it they will deny it but then they have to give you the loan as a sub or un-sub loan, since they denied the parents.

Well, if they have applied for a PLUS loan and have been rejected, you're eligible for a greater amount of money from the government if you've filed a FAFSA.
On the other hand, if you're looking for a cosigner for your private loan, you can find another credit worthy relative to sign. Just don't fail to make repayment, or your relative will be on the hook.

I'm pretty sure you can get loans now without a co-signer. Of course if you can get away from loans, all the better. You are applying for financial aid, right? Maybe there are some grants and/or work-study you're eligible for.

Don't rely on your parents. Get a student loan, apply for work study, and for the student worker program. If you want to be educated, you can be, you just have to go to your financial aid and explore your options. Apply for every scholarship you can; not all are academically based. You need to take responsiblity for yourself, because you will have to support yourself long after your parents are gone.

Apply for one yourself. Borrow ONLY what you absolutly need (get a part time job if need be). You may pay slightly higher rates for having "no credit", but if you pay yor loan back on time you will establish good credit.

get a job...
depending on how old you are, apply for aid/loans yourself. fafsa (govt financial aid) does not depend on credit anyway.
