arrange marriage?

Arranged marriages are excepted in many cultures today the same as here in the west we think that people marry only for love.

You should follow your heart. If in the end you agree to marry this guy it is your decision not anyone else's. Your parents will not be living in your marital home.

My husbands parents had an arranged marriage and have been happy for 30 years. They expected the same for their son.

They tried twice to get him to marry through an arranged marriage. To make his parents happy he tried but both times he found he could not do it.

Instead he married me. We have been married for a year now and are so very happy.

But before you think that you can go against your parents wishes you should know something else. My husband has not spoken to his parents in 2 years because he went against their wishes.

do you want to arrange to be married? or are you talking about an ''arranged marriage ''? to arrange to be married go to a registry office or a church they will tell you what to do. if you are talking about an ''arranged marriage'' that is when the parents of a boy and a girl arrange for their children to be married to each other .usually a practice of india ,i believe .sometimes they can be a good marriage .plenty of people in arranged marriages like the idea .others find they are married for life to someone they dislike.

arranged marriages usually work. for indians, i think the divorce rate for those who had arranged marriages is pretty ow (something like 3%)

i had an arranged marriage, and will be celebrating my 2nd anniversary next week, and my parents had an arranged marriage and will be celebrating their 30th anniversary in 3 weeks.

I don't know if they are such a good idea. What is the %of divorce rate for arranged marriages? Are they happy?

If you have no confident with your self about select your better half let some one pick for you.. Probably your parent or siblings or some relations or friends.. But Don't ever think their selection going to fill your expectation about your spouse.. To my knowledge marriage is nothing but a license for two people to have sex legally . Also to have the family by your own...That's mean having baby, paying bills for your expenses with your spouse money ;) That's all... Don't give any special thoughts about it.. take it easy!!

if u got something to loose........do a prenup....if ya parents got u locked up with some king down the road....hell go for it..hahaha
