I moved out of there. Used to be quite few people there, but I can no longer vouch for it.
By the way, there are people claiming to currently live in Michigan answering you - but how do you KNOW that they do? This is the internet. People can say whatever they want.
So don't believe that they're from Michigan - Until someone provides you with a picture of themself under a cloudy sky with a flat piece of land behind them and a road full of SUVs driving across flat, straight pavement, and a blind hunter wandering aimlessly into the woods. That's probably Michigan.

Yea, it is the 8th biggest state in the United States, despite its northerness. 10,100,000+ live there.
It is no surpise, either. 3300 miles of shoreline (more than any other state except Alaska). 11000 lakes. 40,000 square miles of water. Tons of beaches. Hundreds of islands. Thousands of rivers and streams. The oldest mountains in North America. Dunes hundreds of feet high. Thousands of acres of forests. Beautiful seasons.
