My father beat my Mom all the time. She would always take it out on me and say I would grow up to be just like him. I have never hit a woman. My wife got me so mad once that I hit the bathroom door and put a couple holes in it before I hit her. What is the difference brtween me and my father? CONTROL. Also a real man never hits a woman.

First what drives someone to strike out in anger is a lack of impulse control. They need to learn to manage their anger as well as identify other feelings that often are suppressed and then lumped into anger.
Second of all, a lack of empathy. Someone who is able to put themselves in another's shoes would never hit another because they would know how it would feel to them.
Thirdly, a lack of self-respect. When you respect yourself, you respect others as well.
Fourth, a lack of respect for the person they are hitting.
Fifth, They know they can get away with it. The pattern was set after the first hit when the person didn't call the police, leave or toss them out.
Hope this helps!

Some people don't know how to argue without getting physical..... When they get frustrated with the argument, or the argument isn't going THEIR way...many times they will resort to being physical. Sometimes it seems that many people are intent on always being RIGHT, and quite often, when the argument is showing that they are wrong, they become aggressive out of desperation to be right....and try to influence or win the argument by physical force.

I admittedly have shoved my boyfriends in the past, both boyfriends that I've had are both yellers/screamers. I dont yell/scream, its not me. But when you get a little sick of someone yelling in your face, shoving them gets them the hell out of the way. It takes ALOT to piss me off but if you do, Im more likely to take a swing than say a word. Im not proud of it, its a form of losing control.

simply it is a lack of self control. There is still immaturity, they must have their own way, and ir they don't they get mad just like a kid and lash out at the source of their frustration, just like a kid (spoiled) would do. Total immaturity.
