I found out almost the same thing. My mom is now a recovering alcoholic. I got pissed becuz she was alwayz drinking, so i moved into my Dad's house last year. It will be a year on September 7th. It was one of the best things i could do cuz i went to a better school and it gave my mom a break from dealing with a pissed off, rebellious teenager. You shouldn't neccesarilly move out, though. Confront her on the situation and try to get her some help. Good Luck!

You should talk to your brother and perhaps other older relatives -
tell them what's going on. You are not "ratting" on your mother.

Your mother needs help, but you probably can't give it to her.
They may be able to.

In any case, if you feel in danger, you should tell him that too.

DO NOT RUN AWAY. Have him come pick you up so that she
knows where you are. It will probably cause a huge argument
but that argument is going to happen anyways. At least she
won't freak out wondering where you are.

Encourage her to get help. She'll respect that you are for her later. My mom had a drinking problem and she got help on her own, but I definately wanted her to. I felt just like you. Confront her, and comfort her. She's probably going through some tough times. Just talk to her when she is sober and not stoned. There are great rehab places everywhere nowadays. Hope this helps.

My mom was an addict and bandoned me at 13. I ws better off with out her. all the fighting and physical & mental abuse that I went through living with her wrecked my life. If your brother is ok with it don't hesitate, but if he isn't then you still need to get help & maybe your mom can get help too. My mom has recovered and now 6 years later, we get along great.

You can't unless you get permission from your mom or that your brother can prove that your mom is no longer fit to take care of you. Or you can get your dad to sign away guardian papers to your brother.

i definitely would just go to my brothers.. your mom prob wont notice and even when she does she probably wont care... just remember to watch out for yourself and don't worry about what your mom will think.
