Sometimes when you have your period there is some blood that will come out that is called "old blood" (basically that is blood that has "pooled" in your uterus and as blood stays around it looses it's oxygen and will turn darker, usually brown or dark brown). I'm guessing that is what you might be seeing.

What you are calling endo, I believe you are meaning endometriosis. That is cells that are growning where they're not supposed to be (the lining of your uterus is called endometrim and those cells can travel around in your lower abdomen...the endometrium "swells" up with the blood to prepare for you to get pregnant, when you don't, then it "sheds" all the blood that it stored up to feed the fetus/baby. Well, this cells that attached themselves to other organs in your lower abdomen/stomach, like to the outside of your uterus, it will do the same thing because it's those cells; however, those can't bleed outside your body. There is no access for it to get out, so it will clot up and scar. Those scars begin to hurt after sometime.

I do not think what you are seeing is the endo.

If you have concerns, talk to your mom or a trusted adult (like an aunt, teacher, or even school nurse). If you don't get the answers you need and are still concerned or worried, talk to your doctor about it. Never, ever be afraid to ask your doctor anything. That is what they are there for. They have heard just about everything there is that you could ever dream to ask them. Nothing is too dumb. If you have a question, it deserves to get answered.

When you ask questions on boards like this you have to be careful to what you listen to and read. You have no idea who is answering and if what they are saying is the truth or not...even if they say they are a nurse, or whatever.

Ask your mom, another adult, or talk to your doc!
Good luck!

I started my period at a very young age as well and wish I'd had someone to take these questions to. The black thing you're referring to is probably the lining of your uterus. It's kind of meaty looking, right? The "endo" you're talking about is probably indomitriosis. I highly doubt that you have it. That's where the uterus is tilted and the flow sometimes pools in the uterus instead of being flushed out. It sounds like you're having normal cycles to me.

Talk to your mom.

PROBABLY it kind of sounds like a small blood clot. That is common. They look really dark almost black---they can be stringy or clumpy. Kind of icky.

I think you mean endometriosis? You can look it up on the internet.....talk to your mom and your doctor about it.

it's probably a blood clot.. talk to your mom or best friend. If you are ever worried about anything like that it's always okay to ask your doctor about it.

Ask an adult at home. This is too serious and personal to ask on the internet with you being so young.
