I bet it smells good in there!! no Yankee candle crapola for you!
I think it is a FINE idea. My dad used gasoline for many things, charcoal starter, handsoap, all purpose cleaner...

This is a very very bad idea. First, gasoline doesn't keep forever. It will begin to gel and will no longer be good to put into your car - the car will run but it will leave sediment in the tank and cause problems. It is only considered fresh for about a month after purchase. Second, it is not good for your health to be constantly breathing in the fumes from the gas, that odd discoloring on your walls is also coating your lungs. Third, and most importantly, gas is very flammable. If anything at all happens that causes a spark, your apartment will burst into flames. Even static electricity is enough to ignite it - that isn't an old wives tale. You are putting your life at risk, as well as the lives of the other people in your building.

You cannot treat gas like canned foods it should not be preserved in your home. That is not very safe at all. Aren't you a little worried that your home will go up in flames if you turn on the stove or strike a match? Why don't you ride the bus or a bike.

Gasoline fumes are highly toxic and explosive, and storing it indoors can allow the fumes to accumulate to dangerous levels. That's why you never see indoor gas stations. For god's sake, get that gasoline out of there.
If you want to save money on gas, take public transportation or bike. Don't put your life and health at risk.

um....no.
i would not reccomend storing anything that hazards indoors where you will breathe in the vapors constantly. even outside in a shed is a no-no for large amounts of gasoline, due to the high temperatures that occur. you should probably invest in a bicycle if you are that concerned about saving money on gas. not to mention it would be better for the environment. ;-)

I'm going to say that's not a good idea. I like your penny-pinching ways and the actual concept behind it yet I still believe that to be an enormous fire hazard. Probably not very safe at all.

God help you if you have a gas leak or if any one should light up a cigarette. Of course its not a good idea to keep flammable items in your apartment. Why do you think they don't sell equipment in your hard ware stores containing fuels. Hmmmm let me see!

Probably not...I mean unless you have no plans to get your deposit back. Some chick I knew stockpiled (never cleaned) kitty litter, and lit a candle in the closet where she kept it...KABOOM!

Well I wouldnt advise you to smoke, light an incense or candle, drink it, offer it to anyone else to drink, invite anyone over (for risk of either snitching or theft), let kids play around it, bathe in it, call an ambulance or the police to your apt, or play in it, then sure its OK ;-)
