I know we have really missed Ohka, Sheets, and Hardy, but the competition is top notch in the NL Central (at least as far as the NL goes). Upon reflecting upon the first half of the season, do you feel that it was successful?

When Been Sheets comes back, Carlos Lee continues his 40-100 hitting, Prince Fielder matures, Rickie Wicks gets more stolen bases and sets up scoring opportunities for the Brewers just like Figgins or Reyes, and the Brewers starting pitchers like Dave Bush and Doug Davis become more consistent, the Brewers have a good shot at the playoffs. Turnbow will get better and better.

Now all thats left is defeating the Pujols, Rolen, and the Cards. The Astros are declining, but the Cubs might turn it around in the years to come. The Reds traded away Lopez and Kearns, so they took a hit. Pittsburg wont be contenders in the near future.

Yeah, I guess if everybody in Milwuakee stays healthy and continues to improve, the Brewers have a real good shot in October.

It's going to be tough for your Brewers. They seem to be on the rise, but the Cards and Astros still have something left in the tank, and the Reds might be contenders for a while. Also, you have only a year or two before the Pirates, if their young pitchers develop properly, finally reemerge as championship contenders. So the window is short, but as long as the Brewers hang around this season, all they need is one good long run (like a 10-game winning streak) and they could make the playoffs this season, since everyone but the Mets is struggling this year.

Your best chance of ever making the playoffs again is to move back to the AL where you belong.

I am an american league guy, so I would just appreciate it if the brewers would trade Capuano to the red sox.
