I am going to the Riviera Maya in 2 weeks and dont know if I should book a snorkeling tour before I leave, or after I get out there. Price is not a HUGE concern, but more the quality of the trip. Any suggestions?

Wait till you get there ... much better idea of what's available and probably cheaper

If you're going between May and November, I'd wait for this reason: WEATHER. My wife and I were going to Cozumel (from Playa) to snorkle, but an offshore storm blew in. We had to scrap the whole outing. I'd play it by ear when you're there. I saw lots of tours in the area, so I wouldn't be concerned about availability. However, weather might be more stable in peak periods in November-March to permit advance planning.

Have a good trip.

i attempt to do excursions by ability of the cruise line specially because in the adventure that they are operating overdue, the deliver will watch for you. in case you burst off on your own, and the excursions are operating overdue, the deliver gained't watch for you. it truly is then your duty to both get to the subsequent port or get homestead. i have purely considered it take position once, yet some more effective funds is properly worth peace of options for me. i do not comprehend what component to Mexico you'll, so it isn't easy to signify. in case you want to snorkel, Belize has a number of the most captivating reefs I honestly have ever considered. the colors are brilliant. attempt to loosen up and function a sturdy time. in case you do not get to do each and every thing you want to do, that only grants an excuse to pass decrease back. have relaxing.

As an experianced traveller, I can assure you: definitely book ahead.
The most popular outings sell out in advance, and snorkeling is very popular.
