Are you planning on seeing this? I feel bad for the families that lost people in this tragedy. They probably don't want to see it glorified and used for as a vehicle for making money.

Cable did a movie on Flight 93--then the movie United 93 came out as well. I think it is important to document history--even in movies. If it is done in good taste, I see nothing wrong. It happened. You also don't know if anyone associated with the movie lost anyone in 9/11. They made movies about wars and other tragedies, 9/11 isn't any different. I do feel sad for the families--but the movie is a way to never forget what happened. I know several people who lost loved ones in 9/11 and they want people to remember what happened.

I too really feel bad for the families and friends of those who lost their lives during 9/11, but everything now a days is a business..and we all knew that a movie would be made and money would be profited by someone. But why pick Oliver Stone? I probably will not see it in the theater, and I really truly think it's sad that people will see pay to see this after all the terror it provided 5 yrs ago...

I am bothered by Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" more than any movie that relates to the tragedy. Movies are made about many things, but it is outrageous to connect such a thing with an attempt to play "Kingmaker". I do not plan to see any movie about "9/11" old or new.

I am from Canada. And I would feel uneasy about going to see it. I wasn't against the other one though. Forgive me I can't remember the name but it was about the plane that crashed en route to the White House. I thought that was a positive aspect of the tragedy. A story of heroism and selflessness.
However, the WTC movie is to close to home. It hits in the heartstrings. It really seems to me like manipulation. Americans, as well as other nationalities in the world, are against the justification of the war in Iraq. It seems like this movie was placed in this time, to be released, just when support for troops being there is at an all time low. I don't like it. It hurts, and tricks us into believing that the war is justified.

If the movie has good intentions..then no i wouldnt be bothered by it! It educates the people who werent there to witness it first hand..and who do not know much about it! Though I do feel sorry for those who dread seeing a release of a movie such as this!

It's not like World Trade Center is the first movie they made about 9/11. They have made a shitload of them already!

I think that as long as the movie is done tastefully, it will be ok. It's based on 2 port authority officals who went into the tower that day and it collapsed on them but they survived. Look it as a story about courage and survival. It's based on true events. Do you realize how many other movies are about true events in which people lost their lives and someone's loved one died? Pearl Harbor, Titanic, Selena, Schindler's List, and Saving Private Ryan just to name a few.

I am totally against it. It's too soon to bring up memories for those who suffered through that tragedy. But, I am sure it will make a lot of money and lots of people will see it.

Sure people died, but the joke 9/11 and everything after was just a big show. It is only natural that Americans are profiting off of it.
