Scientologists have adopted and uphold certain ancient beliefs such as retroactive abortion. The father as head of household, in this case Tom Cruise (movie god icon to the world), has control over the 1st year young Suri's life. Should Cruise detect a flaw or abnormality that might jeopardize her life, health, or even beauty; Tom has complete authority to put her to sleep. Their silence is expected should the (god forbid) worst case scenario occur.

Since she was born on April 18, little Suri Cruise has managed to keep a low profile. In fact, at 3 months old, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes still has not been seen in public.
But at least one famous friend has gotten to meet her: King of Queens star and Cruise pal Leah Remini, who saw Suri at the couple's L.A. home recently.
"She's a beaming baby," Remini tells PEOPLE in its new issue. "She looks like Tom and Katie. She's just beautiful."
As for Suri's folks, Cruise is "one of those doting dads," says Remini, who, like Cruise and Holmes, is a Scientologist. Holmes looks "beautiful – I'm jealous of her. She bounced right back."
"They're just great parents," Remini adds. "There wasn't a second that she was out of their arms except when I held her."
So why won't the proud Mom and Dad introduce Suri to fans? They're simply in no rush, Cruise's rep told PEOPLE in June. "Suri's in great shape. Everything's fine."

Perhaps they don't want her exposed to the public? I'm sure that many respectable parents around the world would feel the same way.

some think she was never born and that tom and kate are just saying they had a kid. which is totally possiblee cuz you know they are professional actors. so i don't know. no one has seen a pic of the baby since it was "born"... so where is the baby no one knows so how do we know there is one...? hope i helped.

maybe she was born with a birth defect u know when cuzins have a baby together it comes out deformed maybe they found out they were cuzins and had a deformed baby...lol
