The father of my kids wants to get back with me and get married taditionally like we always planned. But he went and got married to some other girl and I just found out last year he did this but we still had a relationship even though I was trying to finished college in a different state. This other woman has made his life hell and made him want to commit suicide. His mother has verafied this to be sure he was not lieing on how bad this other woman treats him. We have still visited each other this whole time and having relations and all that until I found out about her last year and he still has wanted to be with me when I visit and tells me he found out that his marriage is not valid when he went to a fammily law lawyer in Colorado that his marriage is not valid in Colorado causes he's married to me under the comman law marriage law that him and I are husband and wife and he has commited bigamy but he want to end it with her to be with me and he's afraid to tell her or a court.

That's a bit odd for a marriage not to be valid in one state then again this is the U.S it may not be valid in one state but one state will be valid so let's say your in IL. where you have to be 18 to be married and to file for a divorce it drags if your spouse does not cooperate where as in TX. divorce 6mt's he doesn't cooperate TOO BAD he's history. The point is every state has different rules look at the countries as well they got kids 5+ working. The child's father is basically using you in my opinion honestly how could he have the nerve to make plans for a perfect wedding while he's out there dating then having the nerve to marry that girl. All of sudden the I LOVE YOU line then a attorney stating the marriage is NOT VALID! GIVE ME A BREAK. If you love him then you choose a attorney let him pay the bill to see if it is true if that marriage is not valid. I would love to know keep in touch.

Are you still in love with him?
Have you talked to him about what happened, how he just up and married this other girl. If you find you are able to forgive him for doing that and you feel that he geniunely wants to be with you, this time for good then go with what feels right to your heart.
Love is love. Everyone makes mistakes, but make sure he knows it was a huge mistake, and he wont end up doing something like that or even similar again.

I would look into that...really if he is lying then don't take him back...but if its true then hey you will get the family that you always wanted...but make sure he is not playing both of you...it kinda sounds fishy to me(he would not need a court if it was never valid)

no offense honey~ but why would you ask total strangers whether to devote the rest of your life to someone or not? Shouldn't you be able to make this decision on your own! Especially when children are involved. And please keep those kids away from that woman if she's so nasty. Good luck and I wish you the best.

If he is married to someone else, it's because he wants to be no matter what he says. You are just a fun on the side until he proves you are not by actually divorcing his wife. Until then, you are extremely foolish to have anything to do with him.

If you want to give him a chance, do not make it to easy for him, in some point he felt, and let him to start from 0. You are not his mother and he should be grown enought to find out that he mess off.
