Lets see I got my period twice this month the first one started on june 30 & went to July 5th, the second from june 15th and I am still bleeding not heavy but not really light, kinda right in the middle. (mediumish if thats a word) I had sex with my hubby on 7/13 & 7/14 unprotected (was planned that why). I have only gone 9 days w/out bleeding this month. Why is this? I am not stressing! So I do not think that is it. And the last three days I have been suffering from MAJOR headaches. And queeziness off and on, not sure if that is from the headaches. My boobs seem to be tender. Althought I do not think I am feeling this way b/c I am pregant. B/c of bleeding so heavy and receiving my period twice this month. Do you know what else it may be. Has anyone else expereinced this before? I have had to pleaseant pregnancy before and never in my life experienced what I am experiencing now.

better call your doctor's office and ask to talk to his nurse, and then explain your symptoms to her; she'll run it by him and advise you. he'll probably want you to come in. oh, since it's the weekend, you may need to call an urgent care place, or you could call the ER and speak with the triage nurse...please do seek some medical advice.

best wishes,

Monika,
I am a nurse. 1st of all, you may have been pregnant and could be miscarrying. If you were not pregnant, Have you recently gotten off of some kind of birth control? If so, the change in your hormone levels can be causing you to bleed and making your breasts tender. One other thing, if you have been bleeding this many days, you may be anemic. This will lead to a lack of oxygen content in your blood and can be causing your headaches and the queeziness you are feeling. I would strongly suggest that you see your OB/GYN doctor and find out what is causing all the bleeding, get your blood count checked and see what they can do to make you feel better! I hope this helps.

If it is not pregnancy or miscarriage, it could be hormonal. You don't say how old you are, but if you are 38 or older this may be DUB (dysfunctional uterine bleeding). Yahoo!Answers sees this topic once in awhile.

The #1 hormone - because it can affect the production of all the other hormones - is insulin. Ask your doctor for a fasting insulin blood test . Ask for a copy of your results. 10 or higher is abnormal for an adult.

Also ask for a saliva test. This test will tell you if any of your feminine hormones are not at the best levels. I do not like doctors who prescribe hormones for DUBs or any other feminine problem without testing first. When that happened to me - the shot he gave me (Depo Provera) for the DUB switched me from low blood sugar to diabetes. It could have been handled with a natural wild yam or manmade progesterone cream (and I have handled it that way since).

Your symptoms (all of them) could be related to low blood sugar. They sound quite like mine, the headaches, queaziness and bleeding. You may want to check out www.hufa.org, and click on the symptoms link to check yourself out.

Your period might just be late. If it doesn't come soon, however, you must see a doctor. Also, periods twice a month can happen to anyone... there ARE 28 days between the 1st day of the month and the last day.
