i heard many nba players had like straight A's

I see by some of the early answers, that your friends are "Shooting without aiming". I mean, do a little more research.
Athletes, even the best of them, get slightly higher grades than those students, who don't play sports.
As for the pro's, they often do well in school, but can leave school early to play in the Pro Leagues.
Before you judge them, realize they might only get one chance to get a multi-million dollar contract.
They always can go back to school to get their degree. Two pro's, who did are Vince Carter, Michael Jordan. There are many more!

Some of them, but most of them just passed with a little help.
By the way only 1% of all players who go to college with a scholarship to play football go to the NFL and even most of them are kicked out very soon. In basketball is even less.

That depends on the person you dont even have to go to high scholl to get in the pros
