When you have your tubes tied, all that is done is to cause a blockage in each tube so that the sperm cannot meet the egg. YOu still produce eggs (ova) from your ovaries each month. Once ovulation occurs, the egg waits at the end of the fallopian tube. When you have sex, the semen enters the vagina and the sperm is filtered out through the cervix. However, since your tubes are tied, the sperm cannot travel to the egg and, therefore, the egg will not be fertiized and you cannot become pregnant. However, your ovaries continue to work and you continue to ovulate. You still can have a vaginal discharge and can still get vaginal infections. You cannot become pregnant.

Everything is still the same as before. The only difference is that the eggs she ovulates don't any longer move throught the tubes she had cut!
