i noticed in my process list something called synchost.exe,what is it and is it dangerous?if so how do i remove it? it makes my nervous,as i have been hijacked and completely shut down,with complete loss of all software,pics...everything! please someone advise before it's a do-over.

This is Ripjac Trojan. Delaying the removal of synchost.exe may cause serious harm to your system and will likely cause a number of problems, loss of data, loss of control or leaking private information.

I believe synchost stands for Synchronize Host. I believe. If it is then It isn't anything bad, it is just a way for the computer to sync with external devices. Again I believe.

As said before, It may be a trojan. Go to Microsoft and look around. It might be important.

It's a virus/trojan program running...possibly a key stroke logger. Here's some info: http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/synchost/ Good luck...Reformat your HD or get some type of anti-spyware/antivirus...
