Personally, I see Wade as the superior player. Wade has done MANY things that LeBron has not... examples you say?
1. Wade, once he gets going, is completely unstoppable. Everyone in the building knows that his shots will fall every time. And there is NOTHING anyone in the world can do about it. LeBron showed the Pistons weaknesses, Wade downright made the Pistons look silly.
2. Wade is more clutch. Until late in the season, LeBron had never hit a game winning shot, Wade had hit several in his rookie season. And in the playoffs Wade not only hit clutch game winners, but he also made game winning defensive plays. (i.e., steal from Vince Carter in Game 5, blocking the lob pass to Josh Howard in game 3 of three finals, and on and on.)
3. Wade is the NBA Champ...not Lebron, period. Yes, Wade had a better team, but lets face it, in the Finals, the Heat won because Wade would not let them lose.
Now, having said that, people perceive James as better, because of several reasons.
1. Coming into the NBA, LeBron had all the hype. No one (OK relatively speaking) knew who Wade was, including me. James had every endorsement in the book right out of the gate, not so for Wade.
2. LeBron is a 6'8 freakish athlete, Wade a 6'4 freakish athlete. LeBrons height leaves (allegedly) more room for improvement. As does his age, Wade is 24, LeBron is 21 I believe.
3. LeBrons stats are better than Wades. Period, on paper, LeBron is better. But NBA ball is not played on paper. Per 48 minutes, and taking into consideration Wades height disadvantage, Wade, again, is better.
4. Wade does not "act" like a superstar. Until the Finals, the world did not know Dwyane Wade. People have been talking about LeBron since he was a freshman in High School.
And these, I believe, are the reasons. But next year, I think the talk will start to change. You'll see.
Hope I helped.

People think that because Wade was surrounded by much better players than James. Both had outstanding seasons. Wade was able to win the Championship because he stepped up when his team needed him in the Finals, but it was a team effort to get that far. James basically single handedly took his team to the playoffs, past the Wizards and Gilbert Arenas, and within a game of knocking off the defending Eastern Conference champs.
I'm not a fan of either team. Both guys had amazing years and, if they continue to perform like this for the next 10 - 15 years, are surefire Hall of Famers.

Other than the championship, LeBron has outperformed Wade in every way. If LeBron had the same cast as Wade he would likely be sitting on top of the NBA as a champion, too. l know rings talk, but as an individual player, LeBron is still 'King'.

Why do "people" think James is better? Perhaps, because of more hype coming into the NBA...Wade was relatively unknown coming out of Marquette, and James was the first high school player to have his games nationally broadcast.
What do I think? As young as they are, and with only 3 years in
the league, they are both already top-5 players, if not the top 2 all-around players -- already! And, I am taking into consideration Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, Nash, Nowitzki, whomever you want to name.
As a long-suffering Sixers fan, I'd "kill" to have either one of them on my team. With a gun at my head, I'd probably take Lebron, but I really love both of them, and pray that they can both stay healthy and keep their heads on straight.

Yes but people should start comparing James to Barkley or Stockton or hell KG right now. That dude will never find a team to win it. Just like KG he will get locked in and cap space and the east being good over the next 7 to 9 years will prevent him from reaching the promise land.

Because he is!!!
The Mavs got screwed by the NBA and the officials...if not for them D. Wade would have shown that he is a good baller, but not quite championship material...
Oh dang it...The Mavs just got for another foul...The NBA doesn't know yet what the foul is, but they are calling Wade back from his vacation so he can hit a couple more free throws...

Because he is, I'm not gonna rant about this again right now
Yes, your precious D-Wade went home with a ring on his finger this year, it's not like it's a magic ring that will make him better than Lebron
All that ring does is drag attention to him like flies to honey

it's all the hype... it's just hype...
Wade is under CONVERSE... James has his face all over the place in Nike ads... So the layman's perception is that James is better (due to the power of advertising and marketing)
To me, Wade is better, cos he has the goods to prove it.

Humm...King James? D Wade?
I must be old school where we had some respect when choosing names for ourselves and not being so arrogant and self assuming so as to name ourselves as such.
