Wow. Everyone seems to be having problems putting videos in their ipod. It works just fine for me. Try to plug the cord into a different thing in the back of your computer(I can't remember what it's called but you know what I'm talking about) And also try re-starting your computer. And make sure you have you ipod on "automatically update iPod." Good luck

if you go to fast your video iPod will not recognize the command. Trust me I have done this had to reset it. You will need an ipod converter. If you go through My Questions you will get your answer. I learned that an iPod has a mind of its own and you have to take it step by step

And you have to install quick time. When you bought your ipod they should have given a CD-rom to install information

You probably can't put the photos or Videos on your iPod because you aren't looking in the right place.

make sure your iPod is plugged in

go to your preferences (Mac: iTunes>Preferences PC: Edit>Preferences)

Click on the iPod Tab

and from there you should see both a photo and video tab.
play around with those Preferences and you'll be able to get stuff in there.

and in the future, check out http://www.apple.com/support/iPod and http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/howto/

both sites help troubleshoot as well as give you a ton of info on how to do more with your iPod

Have you tried converting the videos to the correct format? You can't put MPEG, AVI, or MOVs on, they need to be in M4V format which you can create by using the "Export" function of Quicktime Pro, or by using Videora, a iPod Video Converter, the link to it is in the source list below.

When you installed the software on the computer, you installed a program named iPod.
Go to all programs, iPod, iPod feature guide. It is a great guide with clear easy to follow instructions. Good Luck.

Do you have videos on your iTunes, if so, they need to be on MP4! Then go to the little iPod icon at the bottom right of iTunes and... Just send me an E-mail and I'll explain it better! Click on my avatar and send me a message!

It took me forever to get videos on mine last fall - are you in Canada? I couldn't buy many of the videos from the iStore because of licensing issues cross-border.
