I read it twice. The very first thing that popped into my head was,
your childhood.
You shall soon be far away as in growing up. As children we would never know it because of our immaturity, we think we don't need anybody and sometimes, as children we can be inhuman.
But we could not do without our childhood in order to be here and be who we are...........There ya go!!

===="We shall soon be far away from you, but then you would never know it. ====

They have emotionally distanced themselves. The person or people who they have emotionally distanced themselves from however will be oblivious because of self absorbtion.

===You dont need anybody, ====

The object of thier anger is independent. They are clearly dependent upon this person or group but the person/group is not mutually commited. For example a one sided relationship where one party is hopelessly in love and the other is either using or in a relationship of convience. This means that the independent party holds all the cards as the loss of the relationship has no costs associated with it while the dependent person/group would suffer from a dissociation. This phrase also reinforces the distancing as being emotionally rather than physically. Thus they have broken some of the connections but still recieve some vital service or emotional need from the relationship.

===inhuman that you are. ====
Unspecified, but could be implied that because they do not need that group they are demonized for not being mutually dependent.

===how strange that we can not do without. ===
This is self realization of the one sided dependancy in the interactions. It is sadness and self diresion which is painted with the last phrase. They realize they cannot completely sever the connection. Understand the mechanics by which they are bound to the relationship but are unable to help themselves.

Seems like a person musing about an inanimate object that has a great deal of meaning to them such as a home or a country. The object does not have thought, emotion, etc. but the person has attached a great deal of feeling to this thing. So . . . . to me it sounds like a person moving away and is expressing sadness about leaving this place or thing they have come to love.

Sounds like someone who is unhappy with someone they feel is selfish and self-centered - someone "inhuman" with no emotions removed from the relationship.

Could be someone leaving a house...or a spouse...

who knows..

Seems entirely out of context and nonsensical to me.
