Yes, guilty as charged! I had this big mouth friend, that went into detail about the smallest things, after some time of suffering through it all, I just would listen for a couple of minutes, by saying yes, and really!, and then I just put the phone down, went about my business,and picked it up again, and would say, really, and she never once knew what I was doing! Seriously!

I have only set the phone down on a telemarketer. I asked him to hold on and just sat it down, and continued to make dinner for my family. I checked it a few times too, he hung on for quite a while, but when I checked back @ 20mins, he FINALLY hung up!

I wouldn't be talking to someone I hate on the phone. Get caller ID... that's what it's for.

it depends on if im waiting on an important call, if so i wait by the phone, if not i walk away.

just say got to go..and then hang up! or if you can get a sentence in tell them how you feel about them! let them know they might just stop bothering you!
