Nothing wireless is safe and secure.. NOTHING... if the signal goes through the air and you are not using an encrypted device (and if you are not part of a government entity you are most likely not) then it can be recieved by someone with very little knowledge and a few low cost gadgets... the REAL question is... do people really want to listen to what you have to say....?? !!

It is pretty safe, the range in not that far, but if someone is trying to spy on u, I am sure there is equipment out there that can catch ur signal

They can here you if they stand within hearing distance, and you're speacking loudly enough. The person you're talking to can also hear you.
