Everyone has a vacuum in his/her heart. They try to feel it up with activities, relationships, material stuff so on so forth.
Everyone yearns to be loved & cherished. So seeking a companion is a very natural process.
There are people who can survive without a companion, from months to years, or a lifetime, depending on their priorities in life (as in what they want in life to feel they lived a fullfilling life).
For those who are waiting for a relationship to happen, one has to have a fullfilling life first. In order to find your Mr/Mrs Right, one has to work on being Mrs/Mr Right first, to be fair to the partner you are to meet in life.
Love yourself (as in not selfish love), more of accept yourself, treat yourself well, give your shoulder a pat if you've something well, improve yourself to better at this & that, enjoy life & live up to the fullest each & every day. You won't feel lonely & will feel life is great! Learn to love & respect others, if you can. Naturally, you will learn to love someone when you're ready. In the process, all these little things makes you interesting to attract a companion. And if the wait is long, who cares, you're already enjoying life.

I think many ppl live there loves never finding that one person, but I think deep inside we are all waiting, wanting some to come and be with us. Whether the most stubborn person wants to believe it or not, I think that we all want a companion. Some just never get the opportunity, or were hurt earlier in life and don't feel they need one. I think that people can very much so live without a companion there whole lives and be 'content', but I sure that if the did have someone they would be the happiest person alive.

Yes, one can live without a companion in their lives. I don't know how long I would live without someone to love. It depends on how one has lived and how they have been able to love.

I didn't really seek love, it found me. Yes we can live without companions in our lives. We are not the people we are by who we associate with. I could easily live alone. But I met my husband online 3 years ago and we've been married for 1 year soon. Best thing that ever happened to me. It seems to happen when you least expect it and aren't searching for it.

I think that everyone needs some sort of companion in life whether it be just a friend, a boy/girlfriend, or even a pet. People need to feel close to someone or something, it makes life worth living.

Yes, you can live without love or companion in your life, just make sure that you love yourself and people around you that shows that they care for you. In order for you to love someone, you have to love yourself first.

Most certainly you can, but just think how boring life would be. The key is finding the right companion, someone who is looking for the same thing as you.

I think everyone in life needs someone to love or they will be miserable. You need it to survive. You need that feeling to make yourself feel good. I do not think we can go our entire lives and never have a companion. I think we would be horribly sad.

I think I seek love because sometimes the loneliness., alone at all times and everywhere I go. Go for hours and days no one to talk to. Even if it;s holding hands the touch of his hand. I have heard that babies will not be healthy if they are never picked up and held or someone to hold their hand and stroke their hair. And that how i think it is for adults to, that will get ill early and even die.
