I am wanting to open up my own machanic shop in my home town I was just needing to know how to get my mechanics license so I can. Anyone know????? I live in Arkansas.

You don't need a mechanics license. You will probably need a business permit, there may be sales tax to deal with and of course The IRS. What you will need is Knowledge, Facility and equipment, and if you are wise, an accountant. And I do NOT mean H & R Block. A real accountant. Most mechanics are lousy businessmen and without planning you can be an ace mechanic who goes broke or finds out he owes back taxes. Take from someone who has been there.

Its not sae its ASE, You don't need a license to work on cars, well in Tn you don't. Never known of anyone having license. ASE is just a certificate and just looks good for customers. You have to spend a lot of $ to take the tests to get it. There are 8 general test to take for autos, You can take just 1 or all 8. Take them all and save money on the tests.

Never heard of one. You can take tests to get SAE certifications on various systems.
You may need to get a business license from your town.
