We see the stars and they light up the sky but only a portion.
What if it all stared from light and darkness over took the light?
How can dark over take light.....? IDK thinking to hard i guess.

Light didn't always exist, at least not in the way we know about it today. Electromagnetic radiation was one of the first things created by our new universe, but it wasn't created immediately... actually, it took less than a second. The electromagnetic radiation that would eventually make up light started to diverge from the rest of the forces at about 1 picosecond (10^-12 sec).

But it took a long time for photons to emerge from the cosmic soup that was the early universe (made up of many particles) -- the estimates are 380,000 years after the big bang.

As for darkness and light battling - that would all depend what dark matter is made up of now, wouldn't it? The thing is, if your theory is related to light and dark matter -- the dark is winning (there is more dark matter than light by a long shot).

Yes, since light is another form of energy and energy has always existed, otherwise the universe would not have been created. Also, since many stars and planets are very far from us (many light years away) it would not be possible for us to see them today since light from them have yet to reach us. Just because one cannot see something does nto mean it does not exist.

Since light is matter in motion, and matter and motion must be caused to exist, then no, light couldn't have always existed.

no. all light is caused by a source so at some point something would have had to cause the sun to light up.

Both the bible and science tells us that at one point light did not exist.
