What does the color red sound like?
You are mixing apples and oranges here.. Liters is a measure of volume, pounds is a measure of weight. If you have 5.86 liters of molten lead, it will weigh a bit more than 5.86 liters of lemonade.

As mentioned already liters are units of measure for volume (length x height x width of an item), while pounds are units for mass (weight).
However, one liter of water at maximum density is 1 kilogram and is also 1000 cubic centimeters. So 5.86 kilograms of water at standard conditions is 12.92 pounds.
Anything else would require the density of the liquid for the conversion.

Not enough information. Volume to weight requires density. 5.86 L of water is different from 5.86 L of gasoline.

liters is a measure of volume. So if you mean 5.86 liters of water, that would equal 5.86 kilograms which would be 12.892 pounds (2.2 pounds per kilogram).

It really depends on liters of what. I find 5.86 liters of really cheap vodka can usually be had for around 15 pounds.
But I wouldn't drink that crap. Or spend British money, for that matter.

Liters are volume measurements. In order to make the conversion, I need to know the density of the substance being measured. Only then can this question be answered.

litres of what liquid??
Different liquids have different specific gravity and density and their weight per volume will differ.
I'm guessing a litre of mercury would weigh about 35 lbs, so, 5.86 li would be about 200 lbs.

5.86 liters x (1 kg / 1 liter) x (2.2 lbs / 1 kg)
Multiply it out, cancel out the units so they look right, and there you go.
