Hahah!
You've got a twisted sense of humor!
Well, I want to become a sociologist. I want to work for an NGO and help people "get more of the stick" because they got the short end. Specifically, environmental sociology. Perhaps working for the EPA and take down those ******* at Pfizer who are pumping toxins into racially segregated playgrounds in East St. Louis.
Why not go and do something about it today?
1. You just about have to have a PhD if you want a corporation to even listen to you. That or be a share holder.
2. I need to have a better grasp on what I am talking about, know the jargon. I can't just walk into East St. Louis and say "stop making these kids sick in the process of making erectile dysfunction medication!"
Another thing I wanted to do is perhaps work for an NGO that monitors De Biers diamond purchasing activities and other companies that buy up conflict diamonds.
I'm still shooting for any of those goals, I hope I don't disappoint!

I sort of like the way you chose to grab everyone's attention. I was going to say I don't hate black people...don't hate anyone though there are a few I dispise (mostly family). I try to focus on disliking certain things about individuals rather than making generalizations about all simply because I just don't see many things that apply to all groups of people or race of people. And if there were negatives I'd like to think I'd try to focus on the positive. I like the fields (note plural) that I'm in - we all fill many shoes. First I'm a Christian and therefore commit myself to the study and teachings of our Lord. Next I'm a wife and mother so I'm committed to the care and nurturing of my family. Next I have a dual degree in Psychology/Sociology and a teaching certification in Secondary History and Political Science. What do I do with all that. Well I try to use all I've learned as a teacher, behavior therapist, case manager, etc. to help others to help themselves through whatever issues or obsticles are in their lives. Do I feel the need to accomplish something great - I think I have and am though I will admit that it probably won't get me on tv, or in the history books or anything like that. That's okay with me - the only book I pray my name is written in is the Book of Life. You too will accomplish many great things and my dear, it takes courage just to get up some days so don't doubt that its in you already.

Would like to own a small business. I know it could be great, but I am not sure if I use lack of courage or practicality as an excuse. I have a family to support. So, the easier/safer path is stay in the corporate world.

Greatness is not something you can try for. It comes to those who through a lifetime of service are esteemed great, like Mother Theresa, for example. She never expected that she would become famous. She did what was in her heart to do.

I teach preschool and I love it. For years I avoided it because the pay is so low. Then I went back to school and got my degree and started teaching. I was lucky because I ended getting a job teaching preschool paying really well. ( over $25.00 an hour!)
