Area of a circle Formula

A = πr²

π = 22/7 = 3.142857143

radius = 14 in.

R² = 196

A = 3.142857143(196)

A = 616

The area of the circle is 616 in.

pi x radius square
use 22/7 for n is referring to pi. 22 devided by 7 = 3.142857142857 or the more commonly used 3.14

radius squared = 14 x 14 = 196
The area is 616 inches

The formula for a circle's area is:

A = pi * r^2

'A' is the area you're solving for.
'pi' is a mathematical constant equal to 3.1415... (22/7 is an approximation of pi)
'r' is the radius of the circle (the distance from the center point to the circle's border)

Hence:

A = (22/7) * (14in)^2
A = (22/7) * 196sq in
A = 616 sq in

if the radius is 14, then the area is pi times 14 squared. but what do you mean by n?

(14)(14)(22/7) = 616

Pi * r^2 = 3.14 * (14^2)

Do the rest of it for practice - it's your homework.
