Well, that's pretty simple but hard at the same time... First, you need to make a list of places you frequent often. Even if you're a very "casual" guy, you still need some fancy threads to go to more mature places. You don't want to look like a slob or like you plan on being in college for the rest or your life. Pick up a mens' magazine or two, like GQ, Maxim or Stuff... Try not to get distracted by the "eye candy" and focus on the men's wear ads and shopping suggestions. Tear out pages of the things that you like AND would actually wear. Go to a department store and ask someone to help you find similar items to the ones in your pictures... salespeople can be annoying but very helpful as well. BUT DON'T FEEL OBLIGATED OR LET THEM CON YOU INTO BUYING THINGS YOU REALLY DON'T WANT... Every man needs:
-A few pairs of decent (not ripped or deconstructed) jeans
-A pair of "work" jeans (you can get these all crusty when you work on car or other things so you don't mess up your good pairs)
-A pair of black slacks or dress pants
-A pair of medium to dark gray pants
-A pair of medium to dark or olive khakis... DON'T go to light, or you'll look like to juvenile
-Dress socks (to go with the non denim pants or slacks
-Nice, clean underwear... but remember: briefs go with almost anything, boxers should only be worn with jeans or other loose denims, and fitted shorts go with slacks/ pants or slimmer denims, and thongs and g-strings... well, that's up to you
-Shirts or t-shirts that are simple and with NO cartoonish pictures or wording... you can pair these up with...
-A couple of long or short sleeved dress shirts (in other words, with collar or buttons). Again, stay away from flashy or gaudy colors, prints or styles.
-A coat or jacket, preferably black or very dark navy... for casually formal occassions
-A black and a brown belt... The style and buckle depends on the pants you plan on wearing them with as well as the function you plan to attend to.
... As for colors... it's up to you and what YOU feel most comfortable and confident wearing!!! Don't go by what other's wear but do use it as a template to build your own personal wardrobe on.
Oh, yes... I don't know about shorts unless you're going swimming. I'm Mexican and let me tell you, only tourists wear shorts... We don't consider shorts on men very manly... so consider that if you plan on traveling abroad... Good Luck anf happy shopping!!!

get the loose jeans that are dark blue and faded in the front and wear a white t shirt with a wife beater under it
or wear light blue jeans with the fade in the frnt and a blue t shirt but with a colar. that will look good with your eyes. Then wear a black wife beater with some nice cakie shorts and black tennis shoes.

Well, one thing you always need in ANY wardrobe is jeans, so get a nice pair if jeans. Secondly get some, button up tee-shirts, nice plain tee-shirts, and also maybe a suit, for special occasions.

check out the GQ or any other men's magazines. You didn't say what kind of look you are going for. Take your lifestyle into consideration. Wear something to bring out those blue eyes.

Go to a good store like Bloomingdale's and ask a salesman to help you. Tell him you just need some basics to have a nice wardrobe. They are trained to help people like you.

You can always go to Urban Outfitters and get some really cool clothes there. Check out their Web site and see if you can see yourself in what they carry in their stores... http://www.urbn.com
