Personaly, I think the Dixie Chicks should should have left their political views out of their stage show...no matter where they were performing. People don't attend concerts to be preached to. They go because they enjoy, and want to hear, the music. If concert goers wanted a potitcal speech they could attend a political rally or convention.

Before all this mess, The Chicks were very successful because tons of people enjoyed their music. Their music is probably still good, but American Music fans, especially American COUNTRY Music fans, are a loyal and patriotic bunch. We all may not agree with what the president is doing or saying, but we should all stand UNITED behind him to support the troops who are fighting these battles.

To me, the Dixie Chicks broke the two cardinal rules of the entertainment industry, don't bite the hand that feeds you and don't bring your personal crap to work.

And yes, their new CD is selling, but I know that many Country radio stations will not play their songs because of the negative feedback from their listeners.

There political rantings aside they are a talented group of ladies. I saw them once pre the Bush fiasco. They are proof that we are a society that would if allowed burn books. I think it's commendable they found a way around the crap and landed on their feet. I'm not sure which was the bigger mistake the fact they spoke out as women or the fact they spoke out against Mr. Bush. I wouldn't mind seeing them again. It's an interesting double standard that Mr. Bush can bad mouth those who question his policies while speaking in Asia but the Dixie Chicks as entertainers can't. The greater degree of accountability would be on the elected official and not the entertainer. He was appointed by the people to represent the people and they are just speaking their mind. I knew I couldn't leave the political element alone.

I think they should be thrown out of the Country!!!!! At least I don't have to listen to them, none of the radio stations around here will play their music. Hmmm maybe that is because I live close to Fort Hood, Texas and about 30 miles from Crawford, Texas

Funny how they thought that everyone or most would vouch with them when they said that shiiit about the pres ; funny how it bit them in the asss. HAHAHA. See- you think Bush is hated, but when it comes down to it, we love him, or know not to degrade him in such a pathetic way. I definitely enjoyed watching their career go down the drains after the little stunt they pulled.

I used to like some of their songs but not after what they said about President Bush. They have no respect for their country and they have no respect for their leaders.
